On December 20th, the signing ceremony for cooperation between Shandong Foreign Trade International Language Translation Service Co.,Ltd and the college of arts of China University of Petroleum was successfully held in the 358 meeting room. Wang Yingxi, director of Business English Department of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, Wang Xuedong, Dean of the college of arts, Sun Daman and Wang Xinbo, Deputy Deans and Zou Weizhong, deputy Party Secretary attended this meeting.
Founded in 2017, Shandong Foreign Trade International Language Translation Service Co.,Ltd. is a school-based enterprise established by the Business English Department of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College. It aims to create a platform which highly integrates practice, education and research. It has undertaken more than 500 training programs interpretations and 6,000,000 words of translations. The company’s training mainly face to government officials from countries along the “Belt and Road” route, covering many fields such as energy, agriculture, medical care, customs.
Through primary written and oral examinations, nearly 20 MTI students joined the translation service team of the project. After signing agreements, training programs will be carried out soon with the goal of improving interpreters’ professional ability.
